Special Educational Needs & Inclusion Team

At Bourton Meadow we understand that sometimes events can lead to learning difficulties or wider mental health difficulties, such as bullying or bereavement. Such events will not always lead to children having SEN but can have an impact on wellbeing and sometimes this can be severe. We have an established Inclusion Team who provide a variety of support for all staff, children and their families; enabling us to make appropriate provision for a child’s short term needs in order to support any difficulties and prevent them from escalating. The Inclusion Team have experience in supporting children and families where there may be;

  • Disability or illness
  • Bereavement
  • Attendance & punctuality difficulties
  • Health & welfare concerns (including housing)
  • Divorce or separation
  • English as an Additional Language
  • Eligibility for Pupil Premium
  • Looked after children
  • Service children

We operate an open door policy and the Inclusion Team can be contacted in  confidence for advice or support.
