At Bourton Meadow Academy, we are proud to offer a supportive route into the profession for those who wish to become teachers.
Campfire Education Trust has partnered with Bellevue Place Education Trust to offer Initial Teacher Training, in all of their schools, from September 2024 and applications for 2025 will be opening in October.

Teach First

In partnership with Bellevue Place, we can offer you the Teach First one-year long school centred Initial Teacher Training programme (SCITT). This involves a powerful mix of live training in class, self-directed study and one-to-one support. The training enables you to develop your skills in the classroom and it is ideal for people who are eager to learn on the job and make a difference in their community from day one. As a trainee, you will be interacting every day with pupils and working as a member of teaching staff. You’ll receive plenty of practical experience as well as subject-specific training and a deep understanding of effective teaching methods.

As well as the programme, you will also get the benefit of being part of a supportive and collaborative group of schools.
