Volunteering with us

Bourton Meadow Academy

Join our team of volunteers!

We are very fortunate to have the support of a large group of parental volunteers and are always looking to expand this team, so that we can continue to provide a wide range of educational activities for our children.

There are many different ways in which parents/carers (or grandparents!) can volunteer, depending on your interests and the amount of time you can commit:

  • hearing children read on a regular basis
  • supporting the running of the school library
  • supporting school trips
  • supporting individual pupils and small groups within the classroom
  • helping with arts/crafts or costumes and props for school performances etc.
  • carrying out ad hoc administrative tasks e.g. preparing resources, auditing and organising equipment etc.
  • Or perhaps you have another skill or talent that you would like to offer, which could enrich our curriculum or school environment?

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, so all volunteers will be required to undertake a check with the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) to ensure their suitability for working with children. There will be no personal cost for these checks and the school will help you with the application process.

If you would like to register an interest in joining our wonderful team of volunteers, please complete the form below.
