The Parent Teacher Association for Bourton Meadow Academy goes by the name Friends of Bourton Meadow (FoBM), and comprises a group of dedicated parent volunteers who work diligently to organise enjoyable and engaging activities for the children and arrange fundraising events that involve the entire school and the wider community.
Our primary objective is to provide support to the school by raising additional funds for equipment and resources that the school budget is not able to accommodate, which we accomplish by conducting various events throughout the academic year.
We welcome any questions, comments, or feedback, and encourage interested parties to reach out to us by speaking with a member of our committee or emailing us at
friends@bourtonmeadow.co.uk.
We would greatly appreciate your input! For up-to-date information regarding our meetings, activities, and events, please follow us on social media.
Our current project is to raise funds to upgrade the sound system in the hall. Although correct at the time of writing, please bear in mind that fundraising projects are constantly under review, as the immediate needs of the school change in response to factors and events that cannot be known in advance. The best way to keep up to date with the latest plans is to attend some of the FoBM open meetings where everyone is very welcome. These are usually held on the second Monday of each month, but keep an eye out on social media
In our efforts to involve as many children and families as possible, we have endeavoured to offer a diverse selection of events and activities in recent years. The frequency and nature of these events is dependent upon the availability of volunteers and is determined throughout the year. Among the events that we typically host are Christmas-themed shopping days dubbed “Elfridges”, discos, and community treasure hunts. Additionally, we organise sponsored events such as the Rainbow Run, provide Sports Day refreshments, offer pizza making kits and put on a selection of free competitions.

Did you know we have a school lottery? Tickets cost just £1 and every week there is a cash prize and a chance to win the £25,000 jackpot! It’s super simple to set up too.
We have a good supply of pre-loved uniform which we offer for sale at low costs (most items 50p - £1) from our uniform shed just outside school by the car park. It is open several days a week at drop-off and pick-up times, and orders can also be emailed through to friends@bourtonmeadow.co.uk and made up for you.
FoBM are a very small committee of parents, and most of us work full time. We couldn’t put on our events without the wonderful volunteers who help us. If you’d like to be added to our volunteer list please email us – there is no obligation to help or commit to anything specific, but if you’re available to help in any way then great!
FoBM meet up on the first Monday of each month, with additional meetings held ad-hoc to plan big events. Our meetings usually alternate between in person and on Zoom. Our meetings are all posted on our Facebook page in advance, please do join us if you’re interested in finding out more or getting involved.
